Over the last 8 years, our professional profile has grown and developed, and we have shared beautiful moments and success stories. We’ve evolved as a company and we thought it was time our brand did too.

Today, it’s time for a new chapter. AlMaqarr is now MQR; a modish refreshed look to reflect who we are today, with multiple locations and one big awesome community.

Why now?

Well, a lot has changed since 2012 and we think the new brand better reflects the work we do. We are expanding our reach and growing our community by partnering with developers, landlords, and enterprises and managing their locations. As we grow our 30+ team, we are creating the entrepreneurial ecosystem for truly elevated and impactful work.

Today, our ambition is bigger and as we enter our ninth year of coworking we’ve decided to freshen up our look. We will now be communicating under the name MQR. To reflect this change, we’ve changed our logo and rebranded our visuals.

What’s new?

"No more spelling mistakes, no more (K)s in the world of (Q)s, no more (el) instead of (Al). Now, and for long; we are MQR!"

The updated look of our logo makes it simple, modern and clean. The two dots above the ‘Q’ represent the Arabic pronunciation of the letter ‘ق” which has been preserved from the previous logo as it is part of our identity. You can also notice an abbreviation of the company name "AlMaqarr" has been translated to "MQR" for a more sleek and universal approach to the brand.

Even though we have maintained orange and green (our main colors since 2012), in this new version these two colors are a bit brighter. Also, adding 3 more colors adds a contemporary feel to the brand and allows us to have more visual presence.

Our main graphic element is the geometric colored blocks that are used to bring color and highlight typography in our communications and visuals since it makes it easier to identify the brand faster, even in smaller sizes.

Looking around our different offline and online channels, you will start to see changes to our identity system, website, social media profiles, and our new visual brand signature. However, there is more to it than merely changing our name – in the coming days we have a range of exciting news and updates planned.
